Josh Carter is a Program Manager at the National Security Innovation Network, a Department of Defense initiative focused on advancing dual-use ventures. A US Navy veteran with over 20 years in telecom, software, and entrepreneurship, he is dedicated to supporting founders creating transformative solutions for both government and commercial markets.
Josh has co-founded and led multiple startups, including BrightWork, a developer infrastructure company that participated in Techstars and secured venture funding. He also served as interim CEO/COO of Patriot Boot Camp, a non-profit supporting veteran and military spouse entrepreneurs. A speaker, podcast host, and mentor for early-stage startups, Josh is also the founder of Coffee w/ Co-Founders, a meetup for founders. With expertise in networking, operations, and technical support, he has worked on projects for Disney, Pabst Blue Ribbon, and Taco Bell. Outside of work, Josh enjoys hiking and kayaking with his family.
