Jordan Schwartz

In 1995, while studying social psychology at the University of Washington, I discovered Kevin Kelly’s concept of the “hive mind” and was so intrigued that I started keeping bees—a hobby I’ve pursued ever since, even collaborating with them on art.

I left UW to join Microsoft, working on products like Windows Live Photos. After nearly a decade, I left just shy of earning a creepy crystal trophy and backpacked Europe with my wife, documenting our travels. Later, I co-founded Pathable, a platform for conference apps, leading it as CEO until its 2020 acquisition by Community Brands.

Since then, I’ve focused on climatetech investing, supporting carbon reduction efforts. Since mid-2023, I’ve co-chaired E8’s Screening Committee, and recently, I became Chief Product Officer at Sekr, an app for vanlifers and adventurers.
