Jonathan Kagle

Jonathan has worked in many technical, marketing, and management roles, leading teams driving innovation at the intersection of hardware and software. He's helped build a diverse array of products and technologies ranging from the first versions of Microsoft Windows NT and Visual C++ to smart cards, digital cameras, PC/TV convergence, and embedded/IoT devices.

Jonathan is the author or co-author on 18 issued patents. He's written scripts for Microsoft executives, been a hand model, negotiated performance rights with a band called “Stinkhorn”, created (and acted in) video clips for the QVC shopping channel, adjusted satellite dishes atop the Georgia Convention Center, and emceed a Las Vegas Sumo Robot competition in front of hundreds of spectators. He even has a Klingon Battle Cruiser named after him (http://memory-beta.fandom.com/wiki/IKS_JonKa). Jonathan enjoys cycling, travel, and speaking of himself in the third person.

Jonathan’s involvement in early-stage investing began with the Seattle Angel Conference, where he participated in SAC III-VIII. He then joined the first Seattle Angel Fund, and was an active member of each successive fund. He’s been a member of the SeaChange Screening Committee, a frequent participant in Due Diligence teams, and a Director at SeaChange Fund portfolio company Vouched (www.vouched.id). And now, he is proud to be a co-founder and Managing Partner at VentureUs.
