Hi, Ajay here! I was born in Mumbai, where I grew up with monsoons, festivals, and a sea full of people who never sleep. In 2016 I drove across the heart of the United States and visited six of its National parks, twice. In 2017 I worked for the Mayor of Los Angeles to help and improve the LAPD. In 2018 I joined the BMW Group to build strategic services to foster innovation and business growth for companies worldwide. In 2019 I joined Magic Leap to envision the future of spatial computing. In 2020, I joined Autodesk to establish a signature XR experience across multiple product platforms and diverse industries. This year, I will be on Mars. Not true. But I enthusiastically look forward to all my next adventures and where they might take me.

Professionally, I consider myself to be a multifaceted and flexible designer drawn to challenges touching on AR/VR, mixed reality, transportation, logistics, aerospace, and complex user experience problems. I value qualitative user research, visual design, prototyping, and accessibility. My skills allow me to navigate and work cross-platform to create 2D/3D designs, build product visions, mock-ups, and prototypes. Envisioning use cases, story-boarding user journeys, building and user testing prototypes, creating concept sketches and visualizations are my forte. I thrive at fast-paced work environments and thoroughly enjoy working with multi-disciplinary teams consisting of designers, researchers, engineers, developers, project managers, and concept artists. I'm also well versed in customer-centered and ethnographic research, conducting stakeholder interviews, usability studies, crafting personas and scenarios, creating journey maps, and analyzing and synthesizing data quickly to generate research insights and actionable design opportunities. I wish to keep building innovative products and co-create successful customer experiences in the future.

I am an Art Center alumni with a master's degree in transportation systems and design, and also possess a bachelor's degree in electronics engineering from India. I am passionate about music, sci-fi movies, animes, and telling socially-relevant stories. I love our Earth and enjoy using my creativity to better the world whether it be through conservation or innovation. I fundamentally believe that design can improve people's lives, transform companies and change culture.
